Lamborghini Opens Third Upscale Clothing Boutique

On May 8, Italian luxury brand Lamborghini launched the opening of its third store worldwide, located in an exclusive retail shop in Vancouver.

The third store was opened in Richmond’s fancy Aberdeen centre. The other two locations are in Beijing and Los Angeles. The store owner of the Vancouver location is prominent businessman Asgar Virji and he promises that like the cars, the clothing in this upscale boutique will be flashy and eye-catching. Each piece of clothing will reflect the engineering that goes into building the cars; such as stiletto heals that look like they were made to match the car. The store also features Lamborghini accessories such as wallets and Tonino Lamborghini cigar lighters and cutters. The target audience for this location is newly wealthy Chinese entrepreneurs.

After the grand opening, there was a parade of the newest Lamborghini’s followed by a fashion show of the Italian designed sporty clothing, which all carry the infamous Spanish fighting bull logo. There are designer leather jackets with fur trim and simple t-shirts meant for Lamborghini owners and enthusiasts.

The clothing line is meant to compliment the cars and the people who drive them. Virji hopes that consumers will come into the boutique to look at the stylish and luxurious clothes and leave with a further appreciation and interest in the actual car. He also owns a dealership in Vancouver and he believes that his clients will be wearing the clothes while riding in their sports cars.

The opening of the boutique represents the progress that Lamborghini has made over the years and its ability to branch out further than just cars. However, Lamborghini does not plan on opening a multitude of boutiques because they want to keep their clothing and accessory line as exclusive and luxurious as their cars. The fact that there are only three stores in the world guarantees that the men who do buy the clothing will be among an elite group.
